Mark Tayler about the new Q11
Mark Tayler, New York composer for film, dance and theater, budding sound designer, improvising French horn player and mellophonist

"Thanks for letting me spend some time with the Q11 triplehorn. It is, without a doubt, one of the best horns I have EVER played.

The type of playing I do (jazz and improvised music) requires a horn with exceptional projection and response and often I feel that I have to sacrifice some of the quality of sound I want to acheive this level of clarity, agility and projection. Not so with the Q11! The sound of this horn is rich and focused without being too hard or brittle. I feel like I actually have MORE colours and sound possibilities to play with."

I look forward to owning a Q11 in the very near future.

"I recently had the pleasure of testing your D4 and D3 models in the shop of Ken Pope Instrument Repair, Jamaica Plains, MA, USA. The extraordinary workmanship is evident at first sight, and they play even better than they look! Smooth, tight valves, a lovely warm tone, fast response, and very secure in all registers. I thought that the adjustable thumb paddle on the D4 Knopf model was a very clever idea. It will not surprise me to learn that top players from around the world have added a Dietmar Dürk horn to their arsenal." --Gary
